Meet Dr. Yael Markowicz, DACM, L.Ac.

Dr. Yael Markowicz is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine with over 15 years of experience supporting patients through comprehensive, whole-body care. She has been practicing in her beautiful healing space in Mamaroneck for over five years, where she treats patients of all ages— from young children to adults—addressing a wide range of conditions including autoimmune disease, chronic illness, hormonal imbalances, psycho-emotional concerns, digestive disorders, and orthopedic pain.

Dr. Markowicz received her doctorate from Pacific College of Health and Science (formerly Pacific College of Oriental Medicine). During her training, she also completed a yoga teacher certification, became a licensed massage therapist, and earned her certification as a Doula through DONA International.

Following graduation, she completed extensive postgraduate work in Labor and Delivery at Lutheran Hospital, where she worked closely with Claudia Citkovitz, PhD, L.Ac., and served as a Teacher’s Assistant at Pacific College. This early clinical experience deeply shaped her integrative and compassionate approach to care.

In her practice, Dr. Markowicz offers acupuncture, herbal consultations, bodywork, and nutritional counseling. While she is well known for her work in women’s health—including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum care, PMS, and menstrual health—she treats all conditions, from autoimmune and chronic disease to orthopedic injuries and pain management. Her work is rooted in addressing the whole person, not just symptoms.

Dr. Markowicz weaves her background in yoga and meditation into her treatments, empowering patients with practical tools to support healing beyond the treatment room. It is always an honor for her to walk alongside patients on their healing journey, and she looks forward to working together to help you achieve your optimal health. ✨ Stay tuned—there are very exciting things on the horizon this year
