Aloha friends, family, supporters, and new listeners!
If you have a thing for women’s health, you’re going to love this episode with Dr. Jennifer Surjana, DACM, L.Ac. Dr. Surjana is a colleague turned friend. With a specialty in women’s reproductive health, she has an insider’s perspective of the ripple effects of what happens when women’s health is ignored and disconnected from the larger picture of environmental and mental/emotional health.
This episode truly exemplifies the types of conversations I love to have and also envisioned for Yinspired. Not everything you’ll hear in today’s episode is comfortable. Remember, we’re not here to agree with everyone or everything. But as helpers during these wild times, we are here to better know ourselves, to open our eyes, minds, and hearts to others, and to reduce suffering. And maybe, just maybe, we can shift the needle back towards harmony allowing the flow of yin and yang to be more in balance. May this conversation with Dr. Surjana, DACM, do just that.
From my heart to yours,
Haunani
p.s. Please remember to subscribe to Yinspired wherever you listen. If you could leave a five-star review and rating, that would help others find Yinspired. If that’s not your thing, don’t worry.

“The data is very clear on this. Less than 6% of internal medicine, OB/GYN, or family practice doctors get even an hour of menopause education in their training.” They even go on to say they received zero hours but they did learn “hormones are bad or dangerous.” (32:53, episode May 12, 2025)
